Lala

Assalamu alaykum! I’m Lala (not my real name… just what I go by in my comics).

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had this one stubborn dream stuck in my head… to create an Islamic cartoon that people all over the world can watch and connect with. That dream hasn’t gone anywhere. If anything, it’s louder now. But real talk… animation takes time. A lot of it.

So instead of waiting around for the “perfect moment” (which probably doesn’t exist), I started smaller. Comics. Simpler, quicker, but still paves the way towards that dream of mine. That’s how LalaArtwork came to life.

Somewhere along the way, things started to grow. I moved from just comics into “Story Time Animations” on YouTube. It’s not a full cartoon yet… but it’s a step. And I believe we should take progress over perfection every single time. Alhamdulillah.

I also pulled together a bunch of my comics into a book called Lala Comics. You can find it on Amazon and other places books are sold. Another book is in the works, inshaAllah, aiming to be published by August 2026… so keep an eye out 👀

This whole journey? Still unfolding. Still messy. Still exciting. Alhamdulillah always.
